Is it as good as the genuine one, not exactly but it's so cheap. I bought two one as a backup one to replace a shot container on another machine. It probably could be upgraded using a genuine Vitamix blade but the retainer ring would almost need a wrench fabricated by the end user. Something I could do but not sure about other people. I'd probably replace both because the Vitamix retainer is of heavier metal and will, dissipate the heat from the bearings better, but depending on what you do this could be years before that's an issue. Still, I found a $5 Vitamix at a Salvation Army As Is Barn with shot container and blade bearings and it's up and running like new. I bought an extra for mine after it arrived. Too good a deal to pass up. Remember that the Vitamix base is well likely to outlast the blades, container and coupler.Read full review

I'm surprised at the quality of Vitamix products has nothing really seems to compare. This works well enough but it's definitely not a Vitamix pitcher. At least the Price Is Right

Works on vitamix base. Not quite vitamix make. A few things that are annoying such as the measuring cup lines are hard to read and on a different side than a standard vitamix jug. But at least it works well and is more affordable.

The jar and blade assembly are great but the gear that goes on the actual vitamix is not very good and recommend getting the actual vitamix gear. But for the price it is really great and even without using the gear it's a hell of a deal :)
