Works as it should; no problems
Item works as it should, is not damaged but has cosmetic wear as was stated up front, and had no platform as stated up front. But the platform was readily available from Fisher Scientific and arrived promptly. It was easily installed in less than 30 seconds. We use the unit all day long without any problems.

Works, but prone to failure
The rubber linkage attached to the vortexer shaft had melted resulting in noisy operation. This seems to be a common issue with these vortexers as that was the failure of the one we use in our lab. The relative cheapness of the one we bought on ebay was worth the money, though it required some repairs to get it working quietly.
