This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I appreciate the fact it had both the "A" and "B" motor mounting plates included. After getting the run around from all the big box local stores this Ebay vendor had precisely what I needed, and for a very fair price. After some minor tweaking with the motor mount plate, it literally bolted in, in less than 10 minutes. I'll be looking to this vendor in the future. Many thanks, and a tip of the hat!

Easiest Way To Upgrade A Bathroom Fan
When I decided to replace my bathroom fan, I thought I'd have to climb into the attic to make the switch. Then I found this upgrade kit. After it arrived, it took about thirty minutes to swap the old, worn out motor and fan for the new one. Best of all, I didn't have to climb up into my attic. All of the work work was done inside the bathroom, below the ceiling. Nice! The instructions were clear and very easy to follow. No special tools or skill is required. Before you buy one, make sure this kit is compatible with with your old fan. Don't waist your time or money
The squirrel fan is not quieter than the original. It does move a little more air, but not enough to warrant changing. Probably why Nutone stopped making this kit.

Great Upgrade
Like so many, my home had the builder's grade exhaust fans installed. They were noisy and just didn't move enough air. I found this upgrade and though I would give it a try. I am very pleased with the results. The first replacement took me about 15 minutes to complete. 'Who reads instructions?' The next three took less than five minutes a piece. The fan noise was significantly reduced and the air flow was greatly increased as well. Use CAUTION when installing. Works well.
The unit works very well. The one problem I had was that the existing 690 box did not have the required tabs for the plastic deflector so I used a glue gun to affix it to the motor plate. Also, the existing slots were not quite wide enough for the new motor plate. I widened them with a metal saw. Works great now. Much quieter with less vibration.

Perfect fit, very quiet, easy replacement for existing unit
This is a perfect fit replacement for an existing unit. Simple to install. Very quiet. The newest unit is quieter than the previous unit which lasted about 8 years. However, it's disappointing on the higher price in comparison to other units.
