    Wonderful warship.

    The Akagi took part in the Battle of Midway which is why I bought it, It fits in well with my Midway diorama as does the Kagano destroyer I bought to accompany it. Both are fine models and you can find plenty if aftermarket accessories for the Akagi. Be careful though because there are 2 types of Akagi aircraft carriers out there. There is a single deck that was used in the 40's and a 3 tier deck that was used in the 30's. The single deck can be fitted with an aftermarket PE deck and supports and I think it includes the exterior sides of the lower decks. You can also get real wood decks with PE parts (as I did) for the model.
