This is the one to get if your clutch wore out. This one has 6 clutch pads instead of only 3. That's TWICE the grabbing surface! Be sure there is NO OIL LEAKAGE from the transmission seal located just below it. If there is, and you see oil spray on the outer areas of the transmission or in the clutch housing, you will need to replace the trans shaft seal or the entire trans. If you don't, replacing this will only solve the slippage for a day or two of wash. (this also comes with the plastic insert that snaps into the cloverleaf opening)

The new clutch fit and works. Compared to the OEM part that was worn out, the spring appears smaller than the original. Having said that, it seems to work fine. It will be a long time before I know if that is a shortcoming or just a slightly different design. For a good price, I am willing to give it a try. So far, 10 or 12 loads and still working well.

Multiple shoes make for more frictional surface area, and greater longevity. Works as original, and in 30 minutes the washer was spinning clothes out at full speed again. Very happy. Thanks.

The fact that this clutch has 6 friction pads instead of the originals 3 pads give me hope that it will perform better than the stock clutch. The concern I have is the fact it is shiped with 2 springs. The blue is for normal and large washers and the green is for smaller than normal washers. It comes with the green spring installed. I have a normal size washer but left the green spring on thinking that maybe the blue, stronger spring, would be too much pressure with the 6 pads.
