This 1 oz Walking Liberty Copper Round commemorates the artwork featured on Adolph Weinman’s half-dollar coin design. Weinman’s Walking Liberty designwould grace the front of the half-dollar from 1916 to 1947. It went on to become the most well-known of his designs.

Each round was privately minted from 1 avoirdupois ounce of .999 fine copper and is guaranteed to arrive in newly minted condition. To ensure the preservation of their brand new state, all copper rounds have been carefully packaged in rolls of 20.
On the front of this round is the eponymous Walking Liberty, who is crossing the great plains of America to greet the rising sun. She is attired in a toga bearing the stars and stripes of our flag. In one arm, she clasps a bundle of laurel and oak branches, while she extends the other in a gesture of invitation. The intention of Weinman’s design was to reflect both the peace and abundance that this country represents to so many who immigrate here. Also inscribed on this round are the words, “Liberty,” and the phrase, “In God We Trust.” The only exception to Weinman’s original front design is the omission of the coin’s mintage date, which used to appear underneath Lady Liberty.
