1800\'s French Louis XV Japy Freres Mantle Clock with Hand Painted Porcelain:
$629.00

French Louis XV Japy Freres Mantle Clock - 1800\'s - Cast Brass with Hand Painted Porcelain Top, Dial, and Farm Portriat.

Clock came from NY sale with pendulum detached to protect movement. I Am not qualified to attempt to put pendulum back on and to adjust movement.

However, I wound the clock and it actually runs without the pendulum being attached. Those of you who are familiar with physics or with clocks such as this, will know that without the weight of the pendulum, the clock runs very fast. It ticks off about 30 minutes in about 5-7 minutes.

While running like this, it chimes, once, every 1/2 hour. It appears as though the movement functions fine and just needs someone to put the pendulum back on and to adjust it.

The clock is in great condition, especially for being so old. The only issue is that the figure on the top right has a crack in it which has been glued... barely noticeable.
