This is a watercolor, looks to be signed G.L. Taylor and is dated 1897 of a large Oak tree that was or is in Providence,Rhode Island. There is a piece of paper that was transferred to the back, that reads (Oak Tree, Situated on CemeterySt. Road, North of the North End Cemetery, Providence R.I.) It also has measurements that would make this oneenormous tree. It looks to read, at 5 feet high, (circumference) 21’ and 6’+ in diameter, but believe this tree is long gone. The watercolor measures 14 1/2”x 10 1/4 and has a new double mat and returned to the original 23 1/2”x 19 1/2” frame.I have a shop in Southern R.I., just off Rt. 95 if interested in viewing or picking it up.
