I have here for sale a BEAUTIFULLY ILLUSTRATED book entitled THE AGE OF WALNUT, A HISTORY OF ENGLISH FURNITURE by PERCY MACQUOID. This book was published in 1905 by LAWRENCE AND BULLEN LTD. This book is complete with 15 captioned tissue guarded colour illustrations by Shirley Slocome ( as bright as the day they were printed) and \'numerous illustrations selected and arranged by the author.\'
This book is bound in red linen boards with gilt title lettering on the spine and front board. The spine is sunned and the corners and spine ends are bumped. There is a spot mark on the front board and a little damage to the bottom corner of the front board where the linen cover has bubbled slightly. There is a bookplate inside the front board and a small pencil note by a former seller. The endpapers are tanned with age. The boards are pulling slightly.
This book is in good condition, it is tightly bound with no loose or missing pages and the print is clean and bright. 247pp. 39cm x 29cm.
Postage and packing : I know that you will be looking forward to receiving your order, each book is carefully wrapped in packing paper ( I have changed from bubble wrap to try and reduce my use of plastic) and posted in a Jiffy bag if size permitting, if not it is double wrapped in corrugated cardboard, brown paper and then securely taped.To keep the cost of the postage down to the most economical level per book, you may consider buying more than 1 item from my account.
