1941 KEYSTONE STERLING SILVER FLATWARE PATTERN INDEX EARLY BOOK GUIDE Gorham.

Very early version of the Keystone Sterling Flatware Index. Printed in 1941. Amazing perfect representations of the patterns. This book belonged to Gorham sales representative. He took two massive chests of flatware on sales calls along with this book and advertising pamphlets of the day it seems. I bought a lot of his sales related items at sale in MA. This is an unbelievably useful index of the days patterns. The book was used as part of his job. As such it’s in heavily used condition. Many pages has one issue or another and some pages three ring holes have become detached from the three ring binding. The book was bound this way so that revisions and additions could be easily inserted as they came out. Also so that old pages could be removed that were no longer needed. The book can be used as is or if you really wanted you could trim the margin and use a three hole punch to re-punch the detached pages and re-bind them. Inspecting the photos should give you a good idea of the general condition. Some pages are much better than others. The outer leather binding is splitting a bit at the very top and bottom. It’s still secure in the middle. Overall it’s a great rare book that still has generations of careful use left in it. Also just a great shelf sitter for the big time silver flatware collector. It’s neat that it belonged to a working salesmen of one of the nations top silver producers at the time. Ships ASAP! Thanks
