Beautiful,antiquedoor salvaged froman old home in Northeastern PA. The door is made of solidDouglas Fir or pine andis painted on both sides.

Today, \"pine\" is known as a cheap, weak, softwood. New pinehewnfrom 10 - 20 year old trees doesn\'t have thesameinsect-resistant,rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities thatoldpine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also muchharderand stronger thanyoung pine.

The doorhasa window with a single, wavy glass lite. The door has 1 panel above the glass and5 panels below the glass.Hardware:The door is not equipped withany hardware. However, we have a good selection ofperiod hardware to outfitit (check out our store).

Condition:Thedoorisstrong, sturdy, and ingreat structural condition. It only has nicksandscratches, but nobroken or cracked joints, gouges, rot, warp, or anyother serious issues. The door has 3 dents on the interior edge of the hinge-stile (see last photo). Most of theblemishes that it haswilldisappearafter sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains willbe subtle, \"charactermarks\".Allof the glass is intact and in great shape with onlysubtle scratches.

Swing:The hinge mortises span the thickness of the door, allowing you to define its swing and install your hinges on either side.

Modification:Wecouldalso modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could makeaframe, trim or add to the height or width,replace glass with screen,reversethe swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small descriptionofwhat you would like done, and we\'ll give you a quote.
