I bought this jacket here several years ago. Unfortunately, I don\'t wear it primarily because it\'s simply too warm in Florida. It is really a three season garment. It does have storm cuffs in the sleeves and as such it could be used as a rider\'s jacket.
It is marked as a Size 40, but if you look at the measurements, it is sized very generously with a 23.5\" chest and 19.5\" across the shoulders. It seems closer to a size 42. I used to wear a size 40 sport coat but as the years have passed, so too have the pounds. One thing is for certain: if the jacket is too small, you will not be grabbing it.The Zipper is a professional replacement YKK and it works flawlessly.The lining is 100% intact without flaws. The leather is very pliable and broken-in with that characteristic beauty of horsehide.There are no rips or tears in the leather. The majority of the these jackets on have seen virtually no wear at all. When new, you can take off the jacket, throw it in a corner, and it will literally stand up on its own because it it so stiff. Break-in with these horsehide jackets can take YEARS of dedicated wear and leather conditioning. This is no run-of the-mill mall jacket you can pull off the rack and wear that night. Horsehide is not like that. An uncomfortable jacket is not a everyday goto one. That is not the case with this piece.
