ANTIQUE c1859 LETTER ELIJAH & WILLIAM ZORN POSSIBLY UPSON COUNTY GEORGIA For Sale

Please email with any questions. 7 1/2\" by 12\" faintly lined blue paper. Letter is undated but this blue paper was commonly used in the 1850\'s. The letter was sent to hardware merchants in Macon, Georgia who conducted business across the state via railroad. The top portion of the letter is an order for steel, iron and hardware of the sort used in carriage and wagon making or repair. The actual body of the letter reads: Mr Carhart & Curd. My father came down to buy a bill of iron for me & him as my family is so I can\'t come. I will expect for you to let ham have things just as I was there. He is not got no learning. I want you to send me the bill by him. I send you some money by him. You can do with the money as you all way done with me. Money is very scarce (?) at this time but I let you have all I got and will certain to get all Christmas. Me and father is in copartnership (?). I will be down between this and Christmas.
