There are two shades of AT&T ivory trimline phones. This cord is for the older versions, which are a touch darker. It is a creamy ivory.

• If your phone is newer and lighter color you probably want our light ivory cord. Search for Light Ivory Trimline Handset Cord.

• Light colored phones tend to fade to a smokey yellow tint. If you lift the receiver and the cradle is a different color you are dealing with fading. Then color matching is not possible.
  

This cord works on any phone with a modular connector. Some trimline phones over 30 years old used a special cord that requires a tool to replace. Other phones over 30 years old used hard-wired (aka spade tip) cords. If your cord simply \"clicks\" in place, this cord will work fine.

Length: The maximum practical working length of this cord is 4 feet. Relaxed the coiled portion of this cord is about 12 inches long, NOT 6 FEET. Add a little more for the uncoiled portion on each end. It is called a 6 foot cord because 6 feet of material goes into the curling machine. This naming scheme is confusing but it\'s the standard.

This is a high quality generic cord, made in China, by Cablesys, with gold plated contacts. It is not OEM (original equipment manufacturer).

This cord works on nearly any phone made in the last 30+ years. It uses the standard 4P4C (4 pin 4 conductor) connector which is also called RJ9, RJ10 & RJ22. Do not use it between the phone and the wall jack. The wall jack is 6 or 8 pins wide. It would provide a loose, noisy connection.
