This is a nice antique Art Deco period Herman Thomas signed multi-color charcoal / chalk / pastel drawing study of a man / statue\'s face. The reason I say that it is Art Deco period is because I have 4 others by the same artist with all of them dated 1935 which is probably when this was done as well. I\'m not sure who it is depicting but I believe it is a famous philosopher and to me it looks like Socrates. In pretty nice shape as the pics show with some discoloration and tattering to the paper as well as it starting to roll up a bit and it comes exactly as shown.
