Antique Martin Hall & Co Silver Plated by Christopher Dresser Bacchus Wine Jug
This is an antique 19th Century (circa 1861) Martin Hall & Company silver-plated Bacchus Head wine Jug/Pitcher designed by Christopher Dresser (1834-1904). This design is featured in Harry Lyons \"Christopher Dresser: The People Designer\" on page 181.
The condition of the jug is in overall good to really good used condition especially for an antique of this age. There is some surface wear, light scratches and residue tarnish that should be able to be buffed/polished out. This jug is not in mint/perfect condition but I would classify as good to really good and consider it in good display condition.
This is an impressive piece that measures approximately 9\" in height, 6\" in width, 3.5\" base, and 3.25\" opening. It weighs approximately 2 lbs. This is a beautiful and unique jug that will display really nicely. It is a good quality antique that has history.
