Antique historical paper (pressed cardboard) \"The New Pretty Village Engine House Set\" by McLoughlin Bros. c. 1897. Includes a village which includes Engine house, Photograph Shop, Rip Van Winkle\'s Cottage, Blacksmith Shop and a House. Also includes an assortment of pieces and small metal stands. Trees, residents, wagons, shrubs, flag, fences, etc. A wonderful step back in time! Condition is average for this 127-year-old set. I am not sure what was included in the original set, but it seems that this is complete based upon pictures and research. The condition of the house frames is good as are the colors. The roofs are separate, and the Rip Van Winkle roof needs to be taped together. The bell on the engine house is missing one side.The stand-up figures are a lighter cardboard (like a greeting card) and have various bends, and the wagon man has a broken neck to which, I put a small piece of archival tape. This set has definitely been played with and enjoyed. The box is worn and has some splits on the sides. There are no odors or mildew. Please look closely at pictures and enlarge for condition details. Non-smoking home.
