There are many ways to produce sound from whalophone - you can use your bare hands, knock the spikes with your fingers or with mallets, or finally, use a bow which significantly enhances the spectrum of sounds. To create incredible \"wah-wah\" effect just pour some water inside the whalophone (80 ml should do the trick) and listen how it talks to you when you play it!
Classic Whalophone consists of 26 different length rods permanently attached to a stainless steel body with silver joints. High silver content silver joints provide extra durability and a great resonance of the instrument. Rods are made out of brass, alloy known for its great sound properties and transparent timbre.
- There are no \"dead\" or \"dull\" rods as with some other makes!
- We make sure each waterphone we produce is unique and meets highest sound standards.
- Saucer of the whalophone is made out of thick stainless steel, with increased chromium content (unlike waterphones of other makes) which does not bend or \"dance\" when played.
- To fill whalophone with water just pour some of it into the holding pipe!
