Cowboy Clark Frees Horse for Marilyn Cool Painting by Linda Stamberger!
This was an absolute joy to paint, for I captured the expressions perfectly, with his impressed adoration of her, and her sensitive beauty and depth. The Cowboy cuts the Stallion horse away from the rope. I painted Marilyn\'s beauty\'s character holding the cut rope, inspired by the movie The Misfits, and cowboy character (Gable) holding the small pocket knife, looking at her adoringly, happy that she is pleased with him. The impressive skyline in the background has a heart shaped cloud too. Freed Stallion background left, rope still attached, on hind legs triumphant and free. The irony of this is the cowboy is a better man for it, and gains her respect, which in a way is freeing, like the horse is free again. Popping colors on this, nice backdrop of mountains too. This measures 16x20 on flat canvas panel, painted in acrylic paint. Thanks for looking!
