Record player incorporating DP-1000.
The DP-1000, a direct drive turntable, is mounted in the turntable section.
The DP-1000 inherits the design and basic performance of the DP-3000, but has a more compact appearance.
The DP-1000 uses DENON\'s original magnetic recording and reproduction method to detect the rotation speed, which is important for direct drive systems. In this method, 1000 pulse signals are recorded on the outer circumference of the turntable rim, and the rotation speed is controlled by detecting them using a magnetic head.
A solid rotor type AC torque motor is used as the drive motor.
AC motors do not have the cocking phenomenon that DC motors have, and in principle, they provide smooth rotation with little vibration. In addition, consideration is also given to the drive waveform of the motor, resulting in extremely smooth rotation.
The speed selection knob is linked to the power switch, and the rotation speed is switched by changing the reference voltage of the circuit.
It is equipped with a newly developed universal tone arm with an anti-skating mechanism and mechanical filter.
The bearing section uses particularly precise components such as high-grade bearings and hardened and polished pivots to achieve high sensitivity and high tracking performance.
The cabinet is made of laminated plywood and is 21 mm thick.
Viscoelastic material is used between the tone arm and cabinet to isolate cabinet vibration. Viscoelastic material is also attached to the dust cover receivers at both ends of the cabinet to prevent vibration of the dust cover caused by sound pressure when the dust cover is closed.
