Water quality is very important!!!Harsh water can corrode/rot cast iron volutes, creating rusty water in your closed loop system.Rust, dirt, mud, magnetite, etc... will seize the rotor assembly and cause leaks in the system.Water quality related failure is not covered by the manufacturers limited warranty.
