This Hohner Clavinet D6 Electric Keyboard is truly one of the best instruments you\'ll find! This particular D6 is in spectacular, all-original condition, and is fully functioning along with being recently serviced & cleaned. Serial # 803263
I bought this Clav here on sometime around \'98/\'99 from a person in Pasadena who had purchased it as-new, and kept it in their home studio the entire time. A friend of mine in LA picked it up and drove it back to Indiana, where it\'s been ever since. At that time we replaced the strings and hammer-tips, which are still in great working order. It had been converted to run on a 9-volt instead of cable, which makes it easier to power on the road if one wants travel with it. It required no other service at that time, and has experienced very light use in the years between.
In May of 2020 a full servicing was done by Nick Romy, master luthier of Ardent Instruments here in Bloomington, IN with the following details:
\"I replaced all the electrolytic capacitors and transistors in the preamp. Included in the preamp rebuild kit were a couple additional small value capacitors that I added across the input jack and one of the transistors. I also cleaned the switches and pot with contact cleaner. The nut on the 1/4\" output jack was frozen in place so I had to cut it off to remove it and replace the jack.\"
Comes with original road case (1 latch had broken, now replaced, handles are in great shape), original legs which are stowed within the lid, and original plexiglas music stand. Willing to ship globally (crated & foam packed), and also hand-deliver within a certain range for a fee (1 to 2 days drive) from the Indianapolis area (choose local pickup and we can discuss those logistics).
I\'ve resisted letting this one go, but it\'s time. And the time to obtain a Clav in this true, original, incredible condition is even narrower. We all compare the Clav\'s we encounter on the road with this one, and there hasn\'t been any better.
