Description: The artist\'s appreciation of the graceful form of the equine athlete is apparent in this elegant glass sculpture. For as long as he can remember, horses have been a part of hislife. From a young age, he would spend hours studying the conformations of the different breeds and make sketches of their many variations. He was delighted when his daughter’s interest mirrored his own and they spent many hours together at the local stables as she learned both English and western styles of riding. This superbly detailed offering is unique to Prochaska Galleries and is personally signed by the artist. Horse figurine measures approximately 7 inches long and 7 inches tall and is made entirely by hand of borosilicate crystal. The unusual details of the mane, tail and fetlocks are all created by hundreds of air tiny bubbles delicately folded into the molten glass and then stretched into the hair-like form. Serious collectors will especially appreciate the design of this sculpture and it makes a perfect gift for the equine enthusiast. Crystal horse retails at specialty shops for $275.00.
