This is a watch made by the Swiss company Langendorf Watch Co. SA, from around 1920-1930 period. It has a porcelain enamel dial which is in beautiful condition, there is a hairline crack on between the 4 and 5 hour markers but that\'s about it. It has the \'red 12\' typical of early wristwatches, as well as the hinged caseback reminiscent of pocketwatches. Movement is not working, the crown winds but the movement does not start, likely a broken hairspring, so an overhaul is recommended, or use for parts.
A little bit of history about Langendorf, they sold pocketwatches and watches under \"Langendorf\", sometimes \"Lanco\" and \"L.W.Co.\". In the 1890s they were the world\'s biggest watchmakers by sales, dominating the North American and Japanese markets (until rise of Seiko in the 1930s). In 1965, they were bought out by SSIH (a merger of Omega and Tissot which later became Swatch Group), until they stopped producing the Lanco name in 1981.
