As shown, from 1989. The entire set has never been run. The cars still have the white paper on the roof with factory carton. The 2-6-4 locomotive has 6 wheel drive and smoke, the tender has bar-end metal trucks just like the postwar version. Lionel has not made a 2-6-4 since the 2010 girls set.
All boxes have sale categorization stickers as shown. The cars have a single orange circle, the engine has an orange and green circle. There are otherwise no stickers or writing on the boxes, all flaps are present, no tape. Minimal shelf wear.
