Mesh Cutting Techniques – Cut & are several ways the heating mat may becut and turnedto fit around corners and avoidobstacles such as fixturesand built-ins on the floor.
- Heating wires must never touch or cross
- Heating wire cannot be cut or shortened
- Heating wires must never be closer than 2 ½ inches apart
Themeshbetween the wires may be cut but take great carenot to cut or nick the wireitself. Wire may also beremoved from the meshand laid out on the floor. Secure in position with pieces of1” wide duct tape, or hotmelt glue.

The re-enforcing mesh can becut, turned, flipped,or in part removed, to accommodate any roomsize or shape. While theMESH can be cut, the heater wire MUST NOT be cut or shortened.
- Elements are ETFE insulated and covered by a tough outer jacket, providing the ultimate dialectic and mechanical strength.
- Heater wire is less than 5/32" thick, ensuring minimal effect to finished floor height.

The LuxHeat Monitor is designed to measure the heatingcable’s continuityduring installation.
If the heating cable iscut or damagedduring installation the Monitor will immediately alert the installer by means of aloud alarmandred flashing light.We still recommend an ohms test is carried out before, during and after installation.
If the alarm sounds we suggest contacting a professional to identify the damaged area and make the repair.

Floor Sensor
The Floor Sensor is a reliable and accuratetemperature sensing probedesigned to measurefloor temperatureswhen connected to a thermostat. OJ Thermostats’ default setting isDual Sensing (Air/Floor), meaning the floor sensor will need to be installed andconnected.
The thermostat can be set to measureAIR only, but for optimal control and comfort werecommend installing the floor sensorand using the thermostats default ‘Dual Sensor’setting.
Installs directly between heating wires for accurate temperature readings
- Used in conjunction with Thermostat to limit floor temperature
