Rippen Aluminum 6’ Grand Piano Extremely Rare w/ Steinway Bench:
$13500.00
Exceedingly rare one of a kind Dutch made Rippen aluminum grand piano circa 1962. All aluminum frame and legs, the wood parts are Teak (except the soundboard). The piano features Renner action, which is also used in some of the best pianos ever made. A fantastic feature of this incredible piano is the soundboard. It is designed and crafted such that is is almost impossible to develop cracks, keeping its mellow tone for years longer than other designs. Mechanically it is in great condition. Cosmetically in good condition. The aluminum could be polished to a very bright finish or kept as is with a more muted shine. Recently restrung. Because the piano frame is made of cast aluminum, there are characteristic features in the aluminum due to the cooling process when it was made and is normal for any cast metal, see photos. It is a very sleek design, and is musically a great sounding instrument. Similar pianos have sold for $125,000.00, see photo from Architectural Digest.
