Stunning Noritake 2-pc. Blue Lustreware Pedestal Dip & Plate Set w/ Gold Design For Sale

Your purchase includes a gorgeous 2-piece chip plate and pedestal dip server set. This piece comes banded in a stunning lustrous iridescent blue, featuring hand-painted gold flora and fauna adornment. Plate is unmarked, but you will see the Noritake mark on the bottom of the pedestal dish.

This piece is certainly vintage, maybe antique: based on my research, the green mark featuring an 'M' (for Morimura) inside the wreath, reading "Noritake" above, and "Handpainted Made in Japan" underneath, was registered in 1918. Used in the early 1920s until 1940s, the mark was transitional from the Nippon Era to Deco Era, and it is found in green, red, and blue.

Wonderful pre-owned condition, especially for its age! Some minor cosmetic surface wear/scratching, but not very obvious from display. No apparent crazing. No chips, no cracks.
