Most surface rust has been cleaned but still could use a little cleaning depending on what you are using it for.The black tape on it I am assuming is to use as a grip because the wood handle is not cracked or chipped.Handle measures approximately 21 3/4\" long. The blade is approximately 10\" from the tip to the top of the handle on a diagonal. At the blades widest point, it measures 1\" wide and 1/8\" at the narrowest point.
