Hi collectors, offering a very unique and scarce 1947 Australia One Penny from my personal collection. This coin features an incredible combination of multiple mint errors that is extremely hard to find on Pre-Decimal copper:
1. Misaligned/Off-Centre Strike: Perfectly synchronized rim shift on both obverse and reverse.
2. DDO & DDR (Double Die Both Sides): Sharp split serifs and clear doubling/notching on letters under angled light (especially on 'AUSTRALIA', 'PENNY', '1947' and 'IND:IMP').
3. Die Clash / Ghostly Head: Clear ghostly impression of King George VI visible on the reverse field behind the kangaroo.Excellent details with a lovely natural brown-red patina. No verdigris. Perfect piece for error coin enthusiasts looking for an un-graded specimen.
"Hi everyone, I am not a coin expert or a professional grader at all. I am just a casual collector sorting through some old bulk coins. I found this interesting 1947 Penny and noticed the rim looks quite shifted/misaligned on both sides. Under the light, the letters and numbers also look kind of strange and blurry to me, and the '19' looks much lighter than the '47'. I just put it on my small scale and it weighs exactly 9.4g, which seems to be the normal weight for a real penny.
