It is 1958 and Cissy is on her way to The Palace of Fine Arts in San Fransisco. The ensemble pictured is Cissy’s sheer celery green nylon dress embossed with delicate pink roses, sold on the doll the same year. It features puff sleeves, a square neckline trimmed in celery green Val lace, and a wide pink satin sash with attached rose corsage, which closes at the back in a showy bow. The matching hat is very hard to find, but accompanies the minty dress, never laundered, and retaining its crisp feel and look. The matching yellow and celery green-ruffled petticoat has its original elastic at the waistline, which has NOT lost its perfect elasticity! She wears back-seamed Cissy nylons, pink strappy heels, and pink tap panties, which close at the back with a square snap. The ensemble includes a matching lucite purse, which I created just for this dress, her short sheer white fingered gloves, and a “diamond” ring.
