🌎 Atlas History
Six pieces of classic American silver spanning three decades of U.S. history.
This lot includes six Washington Quarters dated 1934, 1940, 1945, 1956, 1957 and 1964 — all struck during the original 90% silver era of the Washington Quarter.
First introduced in 1932 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of George Washington’s birth, this design would become one of America’s longest-running circulating coin series. These examples span everything from the Great Depression and World War II era through the postwar years and into 1964 — the final year regular U.S. quarters were struck in 90% silver.
Together, the six coins have a face value of $1.50 and contain approximately 1.085 troy ounces of silver when measured by original mint specifications.
