** ANTIQUE UNTOUCHED PRE 1900s "Battle Ax PLUG" TIN TACKER TIN SIGN SUPER RARE WITH ORIGINAL TINTYPE SHOWING A BATTLE AX SIGN ON BUILDING (1870 ERA)**
Battle Ax PLUG tobacco embossed signon thin metal with the lettering in yellow on a royal blue background circa1895. In the axe it says “A GREAT BIG PIECE FOR 10 CENTS”. Made by in the lowerleft in white lettering which says “SENTENNE& GREEN N” There is slight creasing, light rust areas, and rippling withfive holes where it was nailed on something. There are photos showing this logopainted on the sides of buildings in the late 1890’s to early 1900’s. The size is approximately 6 1/2" x 14". Provenance:ex Vern Chamberlin collection.
