Here is my Balinese rosewood carved sculpture of Hanuman and snake the ornately carved Hindu monkey god fighting a snake. I'm old and want to pass on as i have no family to pass on to. i wish to pass on before it gets stolen from me.
Hanuman encounters a giant serpent named Surasa (the mother of the Nagas) during his legendary leap across the ocean to Lanka in the Ramayana.
The Encounter with SurasaThe Test: The gods send Surasa to test Hanuman's strength, courage, and intelligence before he reaches Lanka.
The Obstacle: Surasa blocks his path and declares that anyone crossing the ocean must enter her mouth as her meal, per a boon she received from Brahma.

The Victory: He quickly darts inside her mouth and emerges back out before she can close it. Impressed by his wit and humility, Surasa reveals her true divine form, blesses him, and allows him to continue his journey.
