Pearls & Golden Lace
Rich chocolate brown, antique gold, delicate lace, and pearls come together in “Pearls & Golden Lace,” a one-of-a-kind Robe à l’Anglaise created for the Tonner RTB101 doll.
Inspired by the elegant fashions of the late 18th century, the gown features the characteristic fitted bodice and closely shaped back flowing into a generously gathered skirt, creating the graceful silhouette associated with the Robe à l’Anglaise.
The gown is made from a beautiful chocolate-brown cotton scattered with tiny golden floral motifs. The fitted bodice features a pointed waist, delicate brown lace framing the neckline, pearl accents down the front, and a golden satin bow centered with a pearl.
The long, shaped sleeves are finished with dramatic ivory lace cuffs and tiny golden bows, adding softness and contrast to the rich brown fabric.
The sweeping brown overskirt opens over a warm antique-gold petticoat, finished with coordinating ruffles and delicate ivory lace. Ivory trim follows the curved edges of the overskirt.
A classic pearl necklace completes the ensemble, echoing the pearl details of the bodice.
Pearls & Golden Lace combines the distinctive silhouette of an 18th-century Robe à l’Anglaise with a warm, sophisticated palette of chocolate, antique gold, and ivory. From the fitted back and carefully gathered skirt to the lace, pearls, bows, and tiny roses, the gown was created with particular attention to the details that make historical fashion so irresistible in miniature.
The ensemble includes the Robe à l’Anglaise and pearl necklace shown in the photographs.
