The Utah 1/2 Goldback features Patientia, the virtue of Endurance, in a design inspired by the courage and perseverance of the early pioneers who traveled into the Salt Lake Valley.

Patientia is shown as a pioneer woman moving a handcart through Emigration Canyon, the difficult final stretch faced by many handcart companies on their journey to Utah during the mid-1800s. The scene reflects the hardship, faith, and determination required to complete one of the most demanding migrations in western history.

Above the trail, western meadowlarks fly overhead, symbolizing hope, direction, and encouragement along the journey. In the foreground, sego lilies, Utah’s state flower, bloom as symbols of peace, survival, and renewal. Together, these details reinforce the theme of endurance through adversity.

Under UV light, additional hidden imagery is revealed. Honeybees, Utah’s state insect, appear among the lilies, while angels are seen beside the pioneers, suggesting divine guidance and protection along the trail. This item will be shipped using the Standard Envelope service. It will arrive in a regular letter-style envelope rather than a box or padded mailer. We have tested mailing in a rigid mailer with very unsatisfactory results - packages were frequently lost or torn up in the USPS mail sorting machines. The item will not include a rigid holder, protective sleeve, or other bulky packaging. Our packaging is designed to remain within Standard Envelope requirements while keeping shipping costs as low as possible.

Tracking:
