1/400 NG Eastern Air Lines L-1011-385-1 N305EA. 1970\'s livery, with polished fuselage, antennas and rolling gears.
Delivered new to Eastern Air Lines in November 1972. Before delivery, N305EA was retained by Lockheed for a global sales and demonstration tour. It was painted in various hybrid liveries to win over overseas buyers. In 1972, it flew in Europe wearing partial liveries for Court Line (where it was named Halcyon Days) and British European Airways (BEA) -- the only L1011 to wear BEA colors. It also embarked on an Asia-Pacific tour, demonstrating its advanced \"Whisperliner\" features, automated landing capabilities, and short-field performance at challenging airports, where it was the first L1011 to land in Kai Tak Airport in Hong Kong. Following Eastern\'s bankruptcy, Delta Air Lines acquired the airframe in 1991, re-registered it N782DL, and operated it for five years until withdrawing it from active service in 1996. It was stored at the Mojave Air and Space Port (MHV) in California until it was completely scrapped and broken up in September 2002.
