This is a beautiful and desirable material which was found in small quantities at Anderson Lake, south of San Jose California, in close proximity to the collecting areas of the famous Morgan Hill Poppy Jasper.
The cabochons shown in the photos were created by me from this exact rock, and are not included.
This is a single thick heavy slab weighing 1.53 LBS and measuring 5\" x 4.5\" and 3/4\" thick. With a slab this thick a creative lapidary artist has several options, my favorite being cutting the slab into into strips which are then turned sideways and biscuit cut yielding MANY trimmed pieces for valuable cabochons selling in the $60-$100 range.
