The listing may shows a range of the length (Disc thickness) it represents the smallest and the largest part of the bar's length. The top and bottom of the disc are not smooth, and one side of the disc may be the mill finish and contain marking paint. The edges of the disc may have "dings" from handling or chain indentations.
Aluminum is new and meets all mill specifications. Surface finish may vary depending on size and grade. Surface scratches, Inventory labels and adhesive,mill (manufacturing) stencil markings and marking identification paint on the ends of the bar are common.
