It bears a perfectly struck, crisp circular dispatch postmark from Vevey (Exp. Lettr.) dated March 26, 1889 (26.III.89).Addressee: Hand-addressed to Madame James Tracey at Clos Grandchamp, Villeneuve.Reverse: Features a sharp Villeneuve arrival backstamp dated the same day, March 26, 1889. The main text is an elegant handwritten social message in French, dated from Vevey on March 25th and signed by R. Bellmann.Condition: Excellent antique condition. Clear, dark strikes on both the front and back cancellations. Crisp edges and normal minor age-toning. PTT and collection folders enclosed in archival plastic barriers and sandwiched between cardboard inserts instead of 65lb paper and mailed in a bubble mailer.
