18th Century Antique Primitive Wooden Painted Candle Box:

Beautiful 18th century ( I believe) rare handmade wood candle box painted in a grungy brown paint. It has a snipe hinge slanted lid, which slightly overhangs the box. Note the photo of one in Russell Hawes Kettell’s book entitled “ Pine Furniture of Early New England. It was purchased in 2012 and measures 12 1/2 “ long by 5 1/2 “wide; 10 1/2 “ tall from the round top.
