This is a used factory Colt 1911 world war 1 commemorative display / presentation case for the "Battle of Chateau-Thierry" .45 pistol. It has some minor storage marks (look at photos please). There is a small 1/4" x 1.25" sliver of wood (photos 7 & 8) that is fractured but intact on the sliding top section. I have had it a long time, but never used it. Wonderful design has a sliding rear door to expose the plexiglass covered display and store the map (one side is a map, the other is the story). Included a factory Colt original postcard used to promote these sets. You will be happy. Rarely are these offered anymore. I am offering the whole set individually.
