I have here for sale a lovely FIRST EDITION of the wonderful Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin book written by A.A.MILNE and illustrated by ERNEST H. SHEPARD:
- THE HOUSE AT POOH CORNER - FIRST EDITION published in 1928 by Methuen. Special Issue bound in original olive green soft flexible leather. With lovely embossed gilt illustration of Christopher Robin and Eeyore on the front board. Gilt characters and title lettering on the spine. Pink illustrated endpapers. Gilt fore-edges. Only 5000 leather editions were printed and only 1500 in the olive green, so a rare book indeed, very collectable. Printed by Jarrold and Sons.
Condition : Spine ends a little worn with historical repair on the top edge. Spine edges and board edges rubbed. Light surface marks to the boards. Creases to the endpapers. Several historical repairs to tears and several un-repaired, a couple of the pages have been reinforced at bound edge, loss to corner of page 147 &135. Sold with faults. It is in good condition and remains tightly bound with no loose or missing pages 178pp19cm x 13cm
Postage and packing : I know that you will be looking forward to receiving your order, each book is carefully wrapped in packing paper ( I have changed from bubble wrap to try and reduce my use of plastic) and posted in a Jiffy bag if size permitting, if not it is double wrapped in corrugated cardboard, brown paper and then securely taped.
To keep the cost of the postage down to the most economical level per book, you may consider buying more than 1 item from my account. You can then request a combined postage cost and I will combine the items into the fewest parcels as possible - saving you money :)
