Up for sale is a beautiful late-era Waltham Riverside 16-size pocket watch, featuring Grade No. 1621 built on the iconic Model 1908 platform. Estimated to have been produced around 1937, this 21-jewel bridge-plate movement represents one of Waltham’s premier high-grade production lines.
Movement Details:
Grade: No. 1621 "Riverside"
Jewels: 21 Jewels in raised gold jewel settings with a jeweled main wheel.
Features: Nickel bridge plate finish with damaskeening, lever set, double roller, Breguet hairspring, and factory adjustments.
Condition: Clean, sharp damaskeening with crisp movement markings.
Dial & Hands:
Dial: High-visibility white enamel dial featuring outer red 5-minute indicators and marginal minute markings. Marked "WALTHAM / 21 JEWELS". Clean condition overall.
Hands: Classic blued steel spade hands with small sunken seconds bit.
Case Details:
Case: Housed in a Keystone "Victory" 10K Rolled Gold Plate open-face screw-back case.
Condition: Shows light, age-appropriate surface wear/scuffing on the polished back, with crisp edge knurling along the bezel and case back.
