North Vietnam Bridge Interdiction -- Trai Hoi Railroad Bridge -- This 4-span railroad bridge was being renovated in preparation for expansion of the rail line southward from Vinh. The bridge extended across a fairly deep valley and measured 510 feet in length. It was struck on 16 April 1965 and 2 of the spans were destsroyed and dropped. The southern approach was severely damaged. When completed, this rail line would have served the convoy staging areas along Route 12 near the Mu Gia Pass.Photo measures 10.25 x 8.5inches.
