Beautifully presented British philatelic display commemorating Gilbert & Sullivan and the historic Savoy Theatre in London.
The approximately 15” x 17” x 1” framed presentation features the complete colorful 1992 Royal Mail Gilbert & Sullivan commemorative stamp set, issued in connection with the 150th anniversary of the birth of composer Sir Arthur Sullivan.
The five-stamp set represents celebrated Gilbert & Sullivan works:
* The Yeomen of the Guard – 18p
* The Gondoliers – 24p
* The Mikado – 28p
* The Pirates of Penzance – 33p
* Iolanthe – 39p
Also included is illustrated Savoy Theatre presentation material featuring historic theatrical imagery and ephemera, along with a Sir Arthur Sullivan Sesquicentenary First Day Cover bearing an 18p Yeomen of the Guard stamp and Savoy, London WC2 special cancellation dated July 21, 1992.
The collection is professionally arranged beneath glass with layered pink/gold-tone borders against a textured dark background and housed in a gold-tone frame. A particularly attractive crossover collectible combining British postal history, Gilbert & Sullivan, Victorian theatre, opera, musical history and Savoy Theatre memorabilia.

Pre-owned display condition. The interior philatelic presentation displays very well. The frame has scattered age-related wear including scratches, small chips, edge wear and areas of gold-tone finish loss.
