• Made in 2008 (China)
• Limited Edition 3,033/9,999
• Dimensions: 16\" (L) x 6.5\" (D) x 3.75\" (H)
• Features: Removable fiberglass-style body panels, opening doors (to expose internal mechanics), fully-detailed replica of the 630-horsepower Mercedes V12 engine, intricate miniature suspension components (featuring working horizontal pushrod coilover shocks and detailed wishbone mounts), accurate carbon fiber pattern printing on the front lip spoiler, and authentic 1997 FIA GT race livery
• This diecast replicates the 1997 Mercedes-Benz (chassis 0004) CLK GTR \"Mobil 1/Warsteiner (No.11), driven by Bernd Schneider, Alexander Wurz and Klaus Ludwig, for the FIA GT Championship
• Although earmarked for racing, this CLK-GTR was actually used for the road car homologation, fitted with basic interior, its big wing removed and the AMG plates ‘LB-RA-100’ applied. Chassis 0004 was presented in this guise on April 1st, 1997 to the FIA and homologation duly followed. The actual CLK-GTR road car was not ready until September when it was shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show. One of only two race cars ready for the FIA GT season, chassis 0004 was quickly rebuilt to its proper configuration for the April 13th season opener at the Hockenheimring. It was allocated to Bernd Schneider and Alexander Wurz, who started from pole position but failed to finish due brake issues. With either Wurz or Klaus Ludwig as co-driver, Schneider would race this CLK-GTR for the remainder of the 1997 FIA GT Championship. He scored four victories in this car on his way to winning the championship.
