Up for sale is a stunning, rare matching pair of oversized 19th-century Victorian pressed glass curtain tiebacks. These historical pieces feature an intricate, multi-tiered flower petal rosette design crafted from a heavy, breathtakingly deep cobalt blue glass that brilliantly catches the light.
At a jumbo 4.5 inches in diameter, these are much larger than standard antique tiebacks and are perfect for grand windows or heavy, thick drapery. They are excellent examples of Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG), heavily attributed to the iconic Boston & Sandwich Glass Company.
They feature true authentic period construction, with the metal mounting stems securely fused directly into the glass bases during the original manufacturing process.
Condition:
Excellent antique condition. The striking cobalt glass faces are beautifully preserved with no major fractures or deep cracks. The integrated metal hardware is sturdy and completely intact. Natural age-related patina on the metal stems as pictured. Ready to install.
These premium-sized architectural salvage pieces are incredibly hard to come by in this size and color. Perfect for a period-correct historic home restoration or a unique decorative statement. Will be packed with extreme care using plenty of bubble wrap to ensure safe delivery. Thank you for looking!
