2 Vintage Prints, probably from the early 1900\'s. These two framed prints are in Wooden frames. One has glass, the other without. They came from the same shop: Frederick Keppel and Company, 16th Street, New York, NY -- Numbered 4968 and 4969
The print with glass is Die Todteninsel (Isle of the Dead) by A. Bocklin. I believe this is the 1884 version. There is significant foxing on the matte and also on the print, but it is less visible on the print itself than on the surrounding matte, etc. The frame is slightly damaged on one side but otherwise is in pretty good shape.
The print without glass is Dad Gestade Der Vergessenheit (The shores of Oblivion) by Eugen Bracht in 1911. There is foxing on the image and on the surrounding papers, less so on the Matte. The frame is a bit more elaborate than the other one, but the glass is missing and the small nails are loose on the back.
