This listing is for 20 + 2 (total of 22 shrimp) hobbyist tank-bred assorted skittles/culls/wild type neocaridina dwarf shrimp (neocaridina davidi). They will be juveniles to young adults. Colors/patterns/grades will vary widely. Price includes USPS Priority Mail Shipping and a styrofoam insulated box.
Shipping upgrades (UPS 2nd Day Air, UPS Next Day Air) are available for purchase in my store as well and are ALWAYS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, as shorter transit times dramatically decrease risk of death/ stress to the shrimp. Shipping upgrades also come with a free heat pack.
Neocaridina shrimp will be a vibrant and peaceful addition to your freshwater aquarium, whilst simultaneously providing the benefit of keeping your tank cleaner. They have a very small bioload and are great at scavenging leftover fish food, algae, biofilm, and decaying organic matter. It is important to consider that many fish will happily predate on them provided their mouths are big enough.
Neocaridina shrimp do best in the following parameters:
- 6.5-8.0 pH
- temperature of 65°F-80°F
- 6-12° dGH
- 3-8° dKH
- TDS 150-300 ppm
The shrimp will be shipped in an insulated box via USPS Priority Mail Shipping (unless shipping upgrade is purchased) in Long Life breather bags. Shipping upgrades are available for purchase in my store as an add on to your order to protect your shrimp in winter temperatures. I ship livestock on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays to reduce the likelihood of delayed delivery/the animals waiting all weekend in a box. Orders placed after 7pm on Tuesday will be shipped the following Monday. Live arrival is guaranteed, provided that you send photos of the deceased shrimp(s) in the unopened bag within 1 hour of delivery. If temperatures where you live are below 20°F or above 80°F, please message me prior to purchase so we can arrange for the best time to ship to prevent deaths. Shipping is non-refundable.
